Equally impressive are the size and specification of the Windswood ultra exclusive apartments.

Windswood – Project Details

Above all the developer’s aim was to create the most luxurious apartments in the Cheshire/South Manchester region. Consequently the doors throughout the development had to have this feel. Lakes Doors Architectural supplied all doors and wall panelling throughout the scheme. Furthermore we worked closely with the architects and client from early on to specify the correct products.

Apartment Entrance Doors

In order to set the correct tone early each apartment required an impressive entrance door. Like with many of our high-end projects Oikos Synua was the obvious choice at Windswood. These large format pivot doors are in a porcelain finish with bronze hardware. Markedly, they are complete with electronic locking and finger print access.

Internal Door Sets

Chiefly to give a feeling of height and grandeur at Windswood, the architect specified oversized internal doors. In addition to being tall they must also have a quality feel. The product used was Garofoli Patio in stone oak from their Collection 50 range. In contrast to most UK doors, this is a full door set. Specifically meaning the door leaf, hinges and hardware are all from the same manufacturer. Unquestionably a better result than site preparation. Another key point of Garofoli doors is the magnetic latch. Flush to the door edge whilst open. When closed, the latch is pulled by a magnet making a satisfying ‘click’.

Windswood Wall Panelling With Integral Doors

Particularly impressive in the apartments is the contemporary wall panelling. The Garofoli grey oak finish has a richness that exudes luxury. 4 Filomuro hinged doors sit in the corridor, integral and flush to the panelling. Additionally, we wrapped the study ‘pod’ in panelling. Even interfacing it with the glass vitrines. Furthermore the study panelling encompasses 2 double pocket doors.
